knowledgik.net and other randomness
i get more and more serious as each day passes about my website.
i’ve been “in the process” with this in one attempted incarnation or another for probably about five years. i’m pleased to say it’s finally getting serious.
about a year ago i purchased my own domain name, primarily for use with creating this blog. but recently i’ve been fully planning out the schemes for the political awareness site that has been something of a dream of mine for what seems like forever.
much of the planning is only even possible because of omnigraffle pro, which i’ve come to depend on immeasurably in the past week or so since the sketching out and diagramming has been in full swing. for the record, most, if not all, of the planning happens while i watch all the seasons of the x-files (having a large-capacity dvd player is kind of amazing) in preparation for the movie release on july 25th ohmygodi’msoexcitedireallyjustcan’twait.
i also just got ahold of a bunch of css books, so i plan to code the entire site myself. i expect it will take some time, but i really want to finish it before the summer ends. just in time for graduate school applications…coincidence? i think not.
i’m also going to be studying for the GRE soon, so i may find some way to include that in my frequent blog postings.
and also, as i feel horrible about this, i must include the most recent song of the day.
